Foot Pain Symptoms

Foot pain symptoms are independent on what type of foot problem you have. It is important to know what the real problem is so as to apply the proper treatment. But there are times that there are no symptoms at all.

  1. Bunion is a foot problem wherein it causes enlargement of the big toe. This is sometimes due to wearing shoes that are too tight in the toes. Because of frequent usage of tight shoes, the toes tend to take the shape of the shoe. The big toe overlaps the smaller toe, or vice versa, thus causing enlargement due to swelling. The symptoms of bunion usually are pain and swelling. Bunions are frequent in women compared to men for they wear close fitted and high heeled shoes.
  2. Achilles tendonitis is due to excessive strain on the tendon. Patients that have Achilles tendonitis often complain with the pain when they are sitting or sleeping for a long period of time. Most of the people suffering from this condition are athletes, especially runners. The pain is mainly felt at the back of the heel of the foot.
  3. Blisters and corns are also some of the foot problems. Blisters may give or may not give you pain .Corns are hard, painful, and swollen lump in the skin. Friction from the frequent brushing of the feet from the shoes when we wear shoes is the reason behind blisters and corns.

When these foot pain symptoms occur, better take the necessary actions. There are cases that their conditions become worst. There are athletes that neglects their condition thus continues their routine. Men aging from 40 above are prone to Achilles tendonitis because as we get older, our tendons become more rigid. Their cases are stated as rapture of the Achilles tendon.

If you are jogging everyday and increases your mileage and speed, you may feel a searing pain under the ball of your big toe. And you may have broken your sesamoids, these are tiny bones under the big toe. Once the foot pain symptoms are visible, better take the necessary actions. Reducing activities that puts strains at your feet, and putting pads on the affected area will help you recover. Foot pain symptoms are usually helpful for us to know what problem we have at hand and can tell us not to neglect the pain felt because it can get worst.
